In his new work, the artist explores light transforming into black-and-white charcoal drawings and plaster works. They can be viewed from a sociological point of view as well as quite mundanely, as luminous mood paintings or detailing the realm around the artist.
White Light is the third solo exhibition of Ritums Ivanovs in Bastejs Gallery after Symbol of
Illusion of 2013 and Connect of 2016. After the exhibitions, the works have been exhibited at
international art fairs Volta Basel 2013, Start Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery London 2015, Scope
Miami 2016, Luxembourg Art Fair 2017, Scope Art Fair Basel 2017 and Context Art Fair of New

White Light at Bastejs Gallery
This fall, the renown Latvian painter Ritums Ivanovs will host a solo show White Light at Bastejs Gallery (Riga, Latvia). The private view is at October 17th at 6PM and the show will stay open until November 11, 2018.
